Introduction

11/23 is Leonardo Bonnaci day, the Italian mathematician who popularized the Fibonacci Sequence. By starting at 0 then 1 and adding the 2 previous numbers together you get a number sequence that is found in many natural proportions. DaVinci’s Vitruvian man (the ideal male body) is alleged to have included the proportions derived from the fibonacci numbers known as the golden ratio. May this BD help us achieve Vitruvian proportions.

The Thang

Fibonacci sequence workout:
1) 0 murder bunnies (quite the crowd pleaser)
2) 1 sprint lap (1/5th of a mile) Who won? I couldn’t tell from the back.
3) 1 minute balls to the wall
4) 2 minute plank
5) 3 bursts of 10 merkins (as fast as you can, small break between each set)
6) 5 Motivators (thanks CueBall for leading the count)
7) 8 burpees (circle burp style)
8) 13 narrow stance squats

break from the fibonacci rep EXOs for a fibonacci shuttle run in the parking lot:
-shuttle run to 1 square, 1 square, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, and 21

mosey to picnic tables and back to the fibonacci workout:
9) 21 Decline Merkins as a group
10) 34 Bulgarian Split Leg Squat as a group (17 each leg)
11) 55 Ninnie Knockers OYO
12) 89 Box Jumps OYO (or step ups for modification)

Naked Man Moleskin

So many random things from the day. Banana Boat pushed the pace in this workout and quietly challenged everyone to do the reps. When we started hitting 55, 89, 144 , 233 he somehow made it look effortless. At one point I thought we’d have to add 377 squats, but the plan was sufficient.

Many PAX asking about eye contact? Not sure what that’s about, felt like the maturity of the clown car made its way to The Club without them. “Should we make eye contact during these reps?” “Um, No, why?!”

Amazing sunrise this morning was a sight to see. Theme of the day was discussed in COT and asked for TAPs for us to be the grand designers of our lives. Spiral galaxies, sea shells, flowers, pinecones, and many biological structures follow patterns with the golden ratio. Seems like a sign for some grand design. Regardless of your faith beliefs, let’s keep building and designing our lives with a strategic approach.

The great F2 at coffeteria and the majestic sunrise over the flag really capped off this BD nicely. Well done PAX!
